Architectural Program Opportunity for Littles
The Washington Architectural Foundation, the sister organization of the Washington Chapter of the American Institute of Architects has extended Big Brothers Big Sisters of the National Capital Area a wonderful opportunity for littles to learn basic architectural concepts in their “So You Want to be an Architect: Tools of the Trade” series.
This is a project-based series of architecture workshops for children ages 10-13 years old that will start this Saturday, February 21st and runs one Saturday morning each month for four months. The dates are:
Workshop 1: Saturday, February 21st, 10 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Workshop 2: Saturday, March 21st, 10 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Workshop 3: Saturday, April 18th, 10 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Workshop 4: Saturday, May 16th, 10 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
The normal fee for the workshop is $60.00, but students in need, including littles from the BBBS program, are eligible for a 1/2 price discount of $30.00 for the program.
