Laser Tag If you’re looking for an exciting experience that no little can turn down, try Ultrazone, the metro area’s hottest laser-tag venue! My Little and I have been twice in the past month, and this endeavor has yet to lose our interest! Physically and mentally challenging (to a degree that you can determine), laser tag is an activity in which you try and outscore your opponent by firing your laser at certain targets, your opponent being one of them. You can gain points by hitting your opponents on their vests, or by navigating the laser maze and capturing your opponents’ base. The individual games last roughly 15 minutes, and there are usually 10 – 25 others playing in the same round with you, which allows you to play with or against your Little. Directions There are two Northern Virginia Ultrazone locations: Bailey’s Crossroads Sterling Park There is also an Ultrazone in the Baltimore area. Cost Individual games are $7.50 per person, so it’s not the cheapest activity to do with your little. If you’ve got the stamina, you can pay $11.00 per person for unlimited play after 8 o’clock on Friday and Saturday nights, but be careful; if your Little is anything like mine, you may be at Ultrazone for a very long time! Detailed information, rates, and locations can be found at www.ultrazone-nova.com. Tips If you’re not one for large crowds, go in the morning or early afternoon. If you feel the more the merrier, try the unlimited play option after 8pm on Friday and Saturday nights. Related Resources |
