Pick-Your-Own Apples

Mid-September through Mid-October is the perfect time for apple picking.  Last year, my little brother and I visited Stribling Orchard in Markham, VA for the Annual Leeds Apple Fest, which is usually held the last Saturday in September.  Hot dogs and ice cream will be sold to benefit a local charity. Come see apple butter being made in a huge copper kettle.   Other activities include live music, face painting, craft shopping, and civil war living history displays. Live bluegrass music by the Page County Ramblers. Local Craftsmen and food vendors - as well as lunch tables! The Orlean Fire Truck will be on display for the children!  All proceeds from the Leed's Applefest go to benefit Habitat for Humanity.
