It's time to sign up for the 8th annual "Save a Kid-Catch a Fish" trip on the Chesapeake Bay. This trip is sponsored by the Coastal Conservation Association and generously hosted by Captain Frank Carver aboard "Loosen Up." His boat leaves the dock early in the morning and will cruise the Bay for stripers, trout, flounder, perch and croakers. You are guaranteed to catch a LOT of fish!
In addition to being a great fisherman, Captain Frank cares deeply about the condition of the bay, so Littles will be able to learn about marine ecology and Bay history while fishing.
The event is on Sunday, August 1st, 2010. The boat leaves sharply at 8:00am from the Happy Harbor Marina in Deale, Maryland, about 12 miles east of the beltway. We ask that you arrive by 7:15-7:30. CCA will provide drinks and lunch on the boat and will pick up the tab for everyone. You'll return to the dock at about 2PM. This is a great trip--well run and lots of fun, especially if your little has never been on the water.
Space is extremely limited and the trip is very popular, so please make sure you are both available BEFORE you RSVP. We will reserve some alternate spots for cancellations. Please RSVP to suparna.paul@gmail.com by 20 July with your name, your Little's name and your cell phone number.
If you do not get an email reply to your request, it means that the slots have been filled.
